All my bragging about the Gold Coast weather has finally come back and bit me on the rear.

It has been non-stop rain up here all week and I’m just about over it. I know we need the rain, but hopefully now we’ve had a downpour the sun will come back.

We needed to win on the weekend and we did. There were some good performances out there especially from Chris Walker and Anthony Laffranchi. I don’t know how Anthony does it; he just keeps going and going like a machine and is a great bloke off the field as well.

Despite my earlier comments about the weather I didn’t mind playing in the rain, it’s fun and takes me back to playing in the mud as a kid.

A big thanks to Sideshow Bob for returning fire on the blog, but you failed to spell my name correctly. Mat has one ‘t’ not two, and therein lies why I am not taking you fishing again, your attention to detail is poor to say the least. Also I have never heard anyone complain louder on the field mate, it didn’t stop for 80 minutes, put a sock in it. Haha!

As I said it’s been raining so there hasn’t been much doing. Chloe and I are trying to pick out some tiles for the house, which isn’t going too well. Hopefully we get it sorted soon.

The best thing about last week’s game was that we had hardly any injuries and the team has trained on well. We will need to be on our game against the Sharks this week at my old stomping ground. Cronulla aren’t a bad side and they have pushed a lot of teams this year so we’re expecting a tough game.

I look forward to seeing plenty of family and friends at the game, especially my little girl Skyla.

A few of the boys and I got to go fang some expensive Audis round a racetrack today and it was awesome!
 
We learnt a lot about how to control cars in high- speed situations and had a great time working with the Audi driving instructors.
